Stephen established Case Meallin in 1994 with Peter Meallin. He holds more than 35 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, delivering numerous large-scale, high-profile projects.
With a particular focus on major sport and recreation as well as government and institutional sectors, Stephen is an industry leader in strategic planning and well versed in the management and resolution of detailed and complex project-related issues.
Stephen excels at stakeholder management, project management and direction, procurement studies, contract documentation, tendering, contractor appointment and construction delivery.
He commenced his career at John Holland Construction Group where he spent nine valuable years building his on-site construction management and project management experience. Some of his recent and highest profile projects include the Victoria Racing Club’s new members grandstand, the Victorian Pride Centre, Xavier College’s year 7 & 8 building, Junction Oval for Cricket Victoria and various projects at the MCG.
After experience in quantity surveying, construction and working with private developers, Peter founded Case Meallin in 1994 with Stephen Case. He holds more than 40 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, bringing an analytical approach to problem-solving on countless major projects.
With a particular focus in the commercial, residential, education and office refurbishment/fit-out sectors, Peter excels at his ability to assess and evaluate the financial and contractual aspects of project viability. He is particularly skilled in the areas of feasibility studies, development management, project establishment and project recovery.
Peter’s high profile project experience includes the Victoria University Tower development, refurbishments of, Collins Place and Bourke Place, the delivery of the Sorrento and Queenscliff Ferry Terminals and various projects at Monash University.
Alex has almost 25 years’ experience in the building and development industry, arming him with unparalleled knowledge that enables him to deliver optimum solutions and outcomes.
With a spread of projects across the retail, major sport and recreation, education, commercial office and residential sectors, Alex can apply his knowledge to just about any project to deliver successful outcomes and certainty to clients.
His diverse skill set coupled with his strong communication and leadership skills enables him to lead effectively across almost any project type, with particular expertise in project establishment and feasibility, stakeholder management and risk management as well as construction and programming. He is also highly regarded for his experience in tender and contractor appointment through to superintendency. Some of Alex’s recent and high-profile jobs include the development of SEEK’s new Cremorne headquarters, redevelopment of The Glen Shopping Centre, multiple projects at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Punt Road Oval redevelopment for Richmond Football Club.
James, with over 20 years’ experience in the property industry, is recognized for his strategic expertise, clear communication and depth of knowledge in delivering complex projects on time and within budget. He has led a diverse range projects in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with a focus on retail, residential, commercial and industrial sectors. James’s proficiency in brief development, risk management, negotiations, stakeholder management and programming ensure successful outcomes and client satisfaction.
James is highly regarded by his clients for his leadership, communication and strategic approach which make him a key figure in achieving exceptional project outcomes for clients such as Dexus, Mirvac & Cedarwoods amongst others.
With over 25 years of extensive experience in the construction industry spanning Australia and London, Mike is an experienced professional known for his versatility and competence. His profound comprehension of construction, design, and dispute resolution renders him an invaluable asset to any project. Mike consistently demonstrates his adeptness by steering projects to successful completion, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
Mike’s proficiency in stakeholder management, contract negotiation, and construction execution is evident through the multitude of successful projects he has spearheaded. Specializing in both large and small residential, as well as mixed-use developments, Mike also boasts substantial expertise in retail, aged care, and commercial projects.
Among Mike’s notable recent projects are R.Iconic in South Melbourne, 568 Collins St in Melbourne, Lutwyche Plaza in Brisbane, and the North Rock Shopping Centre in Sydney, showcasing his diverse portfolio and unwavering commitment to excellence.
With over 20 years experience within the construction industry, Vanessa has developed a reputation as an industry leader in project management, and a particular expertise in the retail sector where she has become a trusted advisor to many of Australia’s most prominent retail developers.
Vanessa’s leadership skills, depth of knowledge and high standards bring a wealth of experience to the Case Meallin business as the Director of Operations. She is focused on establishing an environment that cultivates the best people in the industry who deliver outstanding results for our Clients and strives for continual efficiency and improvement in addition to implementing Case Meallin’s strategic goals.
