Case Meallin is led by a senior management team whose wealth of experience plays a pivotal role in each and every project. With a team of more than 55 professionals, each with their own expertise and experience, we are able to draw from a pool of various specialist backgrounds such as building, engineering, property, quantity surveying and town planning, to best deliver for our clients.

Our senior management team comprises:

  • Stephen Case Director

    With over 35 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, Stephen has delivered numerous large-scale, high-profile projects, particularly in the major sport/recreation and government/institution sectors.

    He is an industry leader in strategic planning as well as the management and resolution of detailed and complex project-related issues.

    Stephen has particular expertise in stakeholder management, project management and direction, procurement studies, contract documentation, tendering, contractor appointment and construction delivery.

    He commenced his career as a building graduate from University of Melbourne at John Holland Construction Group where he spent nine valuable years building his on-site construction management and project management experience. He established Case Meallin in 1989 with Peter Meallin.

  • Peter Meallin Director

    With a career spanning more than 40 years in the property and construction industry, Peter is highly regarded for his analytical approach to problem-solving and his meticulous assessment of the financial and contractual evaluation of project viability.

    Having amassed an impressive portfolio of property management and development projects across all sectors, Peter has particular expertise in the commercial, residential and office refurbishment/fit-out sectors.

    Peter is especially skilled in the areas of feasibility studies, development management, project set-up/establishment and project recovery.

    Upon graduating, Peter began his career working with quantity surveying consultancy firms. He then spent time gaining on-site experience with contracting firms followed by private developers prior to establishing Case Meallin in 1989 with Stephen Case.

  • Alex Planinsek Director

    Alex has extensive experience in project management, particularly in the retail, major sport/recreation, office and education sectors, having delivered numerous successful projects over his 20 plus years in the industry.

    With a diverse skill-set, his expertise lies in project set-up/establishment, stakeholder management and communications, construction and programming. He is also highly regarded for his experience in project feasibility through contract documentation, tender and contractor appointment, and managing the commissioning and handover phases.

    Alex joined Case Meallin in 1999 upon completion of a degree in Applied Science (Construction Management) from RMIT University.

  • James Moffat Director

    With over 20 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, James brings a structured and strategic approach to every project. James has delivered numerous successful residential, commercial, retail, health and institutional developments, and has particular expertise in end-to-end delivery and project set-up/establishment.

    James excels at developing client briefs, full contract administration including superintendent services, programming, cost planning and reporting, project management and development management services.

    James joined Case Meallin upon graduating from RMIT University with a degree in Applied Science (Construction Management) in 2000.

  • Mike James Director

    With strong experience in both contracting and client-side project management, Mike has worked in varied roles over his 20 plus year career with a focus on residential, high-rise construction, mixed-use and hotel sectors.

    Mike’s strengths lie in construction, design and dispute resolution, however his diverse background has given him in-depth knowledge in contract administration, cost planning and reporting, site management and contract superintending.

    Mike graduated from University of Melbourne with degrees in Planning and Design, Property and Construction. Before joining Case Meallin, Mike worked with some of the largest construction contractors in Australia and overseas.

  • Vanessa Foster Director of Operations

    Across a career history in the property and construction industry spanning more than 15 years, Vanessa has delivered numerous successful projects particularly in the retail sector, including refurbishment, expansion and new projects.

    Using her expertise in project set-up/establishment, planning, design, stakeholder management and tenancy delivery, Vanessa has excelled at delivering highly complex projects, and has worked in a number of live environments where the property has remained operational throughout the duration of a project.

    Vanessa is also skilled at general contract administration, cost planning and reporting, full service project management and assistance in the provision of development management services.

    Vanessa joined Case Meallin upon graduating from RMIT University in 2002 with a degree in Applied Science (Construction Management).
